Denver Academy does not provide any before-school care or activities, but we do offer after-school activities. For students in grades 1-6, we offer Homework Club, while students in grades 6-12 have a variety of after-school clubs and sports opportunities each quarter.
No. However, we do participate in the regional, government-sponsored carpool program Way to Go. DA is also located within walking distance to the Colorado RTD bus and rail station.
Each class has 12-14 students. Most classes have a teacher as well as a teaching assistant in order to provide the best individualized education to your student and a student/faculty ratio of seven to one.
The Elementary/6th Grade and Middle School divisions begin class at 8:15 a.m. and are dismissed at 3 p.m. DA High School classes begin at 8 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:15 p.m.

Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC V) administered within the last 3 years and including the index scores and all subtest scores. One (1) of the following Academic Achievement Tests administered within the current school year: Woodcock-Johnson Achievement Test (WJ); Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT); Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement (KTEA).
If either/both of the above tests are part of a broader evaluation or assessment, such as a psychoeducational or neuropsychological evaluation, you must submit the evaluation in its entirety. Do not separate out pages.
Yes! After you have had an information meeting with the DA Admissions Department and have begun the application process, you may request to schedule a day visit for your student.
Financial aid is based on a family’s ability to pay tuition as determined by DA’s Financial Aid Committee and an outside service: School and Student Services (SSS). The financial aid process is confidential.
A day-visit at Denver Academy allows your student to gain a better understanding of what makes Denver Academy different. During a day-visit, your student will actually be participating in classes carefully selected just for them. Your student will visit the grade for which they are applying. Lunch is provided.
For the upcoming 2023-24 school year, the cost of tuition for grades 1-6 is $33,400 and grades 7-12 is $36,100. DA strives to be as comprehensive with tuition as possible. On average, 30% of DA families receive financial aid which is available for families who qualify based on need.
The information meeting is the first initial meeting that allows you to learn what makes Denver Academy different from other schools and whether DA is the right fit for your student(s). A family interview is the final step in the application process which is initiated by Denver Academy for selected students.
