Steps to Apply to DA

  • Step 1 – Information Meeting and Tour

    Parents/Guardians, please complete an INQUIRY FORM or call 303-777-5870 to schedule a meeting and campus tour with the Enrollment Management Team.
  • Step 2 - Submit Application

    Once you have met with DA's Office of Enrollment Management and you begin the application online, you will receive a checklist with the items required for your student's application. 

    PLEASE NOTE: A $75 fee is required to submit an application. 
  • Step 3 - Upload Checklist Items

    The items below will be required for your application.
    • Testing (DA is happy to provide a list of referrals for testing):
      • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC V) administered within the last three years. If this test is administered as part of a broader evaluation or assessment, please submit the full evaluation.
      • Academic Achievement Test (One of the following administered within the current school year.):
        • Woodcock-Johnson Achievement Test (WJ)
        • Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT)
        • Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement (KTEA)
    • Copy of Student's Birth Certificate
    • Student Writing Sample
    • Records Release Form
    • Student's Most Recent Report Card (Grades 2-8) or Transcript (Grades 9-12)
    • Two Letters of Recommendation from current teachers. Optional: Letter of recommendation from an adult who knows your child (e.g. piano teacher, scout leader, social-skills instructor, coach, etc.) 
  • Step 4 - Student Interview

    Once all materials have been submitted for the application and reviewed, DA’s Enrollment Office will schedule an interview with the prospective student and parents.
  • Step 5 - Admission Decision

    In accordance with Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS) admission guidelines, DA’s Enrollment Office will notify families about admissions decisions by email and regular mail.  
  • Step 6: Apply for Financial Assistance

    Nearly 30% of DA families receive need-based financial tuition assistance. Applications should be submitted online via the School & Student Services website.

    NOTE: Families for whom we have received notification of a completed financial aid application and whose child has been accepted for enrollment will be considered for financial aid.
