DA Athletics

Denver Academy Athletics

The Denver Academy Athletics Department offers a comprehensive, competitive athletic program for both middle school and high school student-athletes. The athletic program features sports and recreational activities ranging from outdoor adventure and fitness for middle school students to a competitive sports program for student-athletes that wish to compete against other schools with a similar-size enrollment. DA is a member of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) and the Mile High League.

The majority of our coaches are full- or part-time teachers during the school day at Denver Academy which promotes the bonds between student-athletes and their coaches.

6th Grade & Middle School Sports

Middle School (Grades 7-8) Sports are offered as elective courses each quarter with games after school. Middle School Sports start when each quarter begins. Visit the Middle School Academics page for details.

Sixth-grade students will have the opportunity to play sports matching the athletic seasons of our middle school students. Our sixth graders will have the option to join these sports during their P.E. class and also for after-school games two to three times a week. Students will sign-up during P.E. and will be charged an athletics fee.

Athletic Teams

Summer Golf Camp

Get ready to take your game to the next level this summer at the Denver Academy Golf Camp! Open to DA students entering 7th–12th grade, these two separate one-day camps are designed for golfers of all skill levels who want to improve their swing, sharpen their short game, and enjoy a full day on the course with friends. Campers will receive instruction in a fun and encouraging environment and have the chance to play nine holes of golf at Family Sports Center.

Each camp day includes range balls, coaching and instruction, nine holes of golf, and mini golf — all for just $45 per player. Whether you are new to the game or preparing for the upcoming high school season, this is a great opportunity to build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy a day centered on golf. Space is limited, and a minimum of 6 golfers is required for each session. Camp dates are June 12 and July 10.

The first day of practice for the high school golf season begins on Aug. 3, 2026.
