  • High School Spanish Teacher

    Requirements: Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and be qualified to teach high school Spanish.

    Description: The Denver Academy teacher is responsible for executing Denver Academy’s mission of inspiring and empowering diverse learners through student-centered, differentiated and transformative education. This includes oversight and responsibility for students, program, and day-to-day operations in the classroom. The teacher is also responsible for communicating with parents and acting as liaison with other division classrooms and the rest of the DA community.

  • Homework Club Director: Elementary/6th Grade

    Salary: This is a part-time hourly position at $20/hour, 12.5 hours/week.

    Description: The role of the Denver Academy Homework Club Director is to support Denver Academy’s mission as well as:
    • Provide a safe, structured, and educational atmosphere for students to complete their homework, improve study skills and strategies
    • Create interactive lessons for student engagement
    • Manage parent communication
    • Track student attendance
    • Maintain communication with Elementary faculty and Elementary Sports Program (ESPM) coaches
    • Maintain fire/tornado drill logs
    • Monitor students on the playground
    • Have familiarity with Smartboard, iPad and other assistive technologies
    • Have First Aid and CPR training
    Additional Information: This position reports to the Head of Lower School.  
    Hours of responsibility:  3:00-5:30 pm, Monday - Friday

    The role of the Denver Academy Teaching Assistant is to support and assist individual teachers and the division with:
    • Classroom support
      • Working with students in small groups or one-on-one 
      • Helping students with executive functioning skills
      • Substitute teaching as necessary

    • Coordinating special events/field trips
    • Performing clerical tasks

  • IT Technician

    Duration: Year-round, excluding school holidays
    Location: Denver Academy, 4400 East Iliff Avenue, Denver, CO 80222
    Hours: Full-time position
    Salary/Benefits: Denver Academy offers competitive salaries, excellent health and retirement savings benefits. This position receives vacation time based on experience as well as 4 weeks off each year for school holidays including fall, winter and spring breaks, as well as a four-day work week during summer months.
    Position Summary:
    Under the direction of the Director of IT the successful candidate will promote the use of technologies to support student achievement in the 1st through 12th-grade classrooms. In addition, they will support school technology initiatives for teachers and administrative staff. The technology specialist collaborates with the program team and technical staff to support, manage, optimize the use of instructional software, and network resources to support quality teaching and learning.
    The person in this position provides user support for students, faculty, and staff. They assist with the configuration, management, and support for 200+ Apple devices and 100+ Chromebooks including but not limited to laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and servers. This person also provides feedback to users to lessen the occurrence of future problems and suggests workflow improvements to the DA community members. Answers inquiries via telephone, email and walk-in traffic. Performs light maintenance and installation of networked printers and other technology related tasks as assigned.
