Open Faculty Positions

  • Homework Club Director: Elementary/6th Grade

    Salary: This is a part-time hourly position at $20/hour, 12.5 hours/week.

    Description: The role of the Denver Academy Homework Club Director is to support Denver Academy’s mission as well as:
    • Provide a safe, structured, and educational atmosphere for students to complete their homework, improve study skills and strategies
    • Create interactive lessons for student engagement
    • Manage parent communication
    • Track student attendance
    • Maintain communication with Elementary faculty and Elementary Sports Program (ESPM) coaches
    • Maintain fire/tornado drill logs
    • Monitor students on the playground
    • Have familiarity with Smartboard, iPad and other assistive technologies
    • Have First Aid and CPR training
    Additional Information: This position reports to the Head of Lower School.  
    Hours of responsibility:  3:00-5:30 pm, Monday - Friday

  • Teaching Assistants: Elementary (Grades 1-6)

    Requirements: 
    Successful candidates will be energetic, organized, flexible and interested in the field of education. Ideal candidates will also have or be working towards a bachelor’s degree.

    Salary: 
    This is a part-time hourly position (20 hours per week; $15.00/hour).

    Description: 
    The role of the Denver Academy teaching assistant is to support and assist the classroom teacher with the organization, structure, and discipline of the classroom within the spirit of Denver Academy’s mission.

    Requirements:  Successful candidates will have experience teaching or student teaching in physical education and be passionate about health and fitness. 

    Salary:  This is a part-time hourly position (20 - 29 hours per week; $15/hour).   

    Description:  The role of the Denver Academy PE teaching assistant is to support and assist the classroom teachers in planning and implementing various physical education lessons for grades one through twelve.
