Denver Academy Elementary School

Denver Academy is committed to the development of the whole child, beginning at the elementary level. Our goal is to enhance basic academic skills, explore areas of individual strengths and help our students reach their potential at an independent level in an inclusive community.

What will your student gain from attending Elementary School at DA?

DA’s Elementary School teachers use Orton-Gillingham phonetics-based methods for reading and spelling, and the Lindamood-Bell program for Visualizing/Verbalizing. As needed, our literacy specialists work one-on-one with students to further enrich their learning and development.

All students participate in our Character Education classes where respect, responsibility, perseverance, generosity, and empathy are taught and discussed. Conflict resolution, maintaining friendships, creating a sense of community, and self-advocacy are also modeled during this class.

Elementary School students participate in drama, art, music, digital arts, daily physical education, and our new state-of-the-art Campos EPC SMART Lab. DA also offers after-school activities for students in grades 2-5 including Homework Club and C.A.M.P. (Creative Arts & Movement Program)

Ultimately students who enroll in the DA Elementary School realize that learning and school are fun!
