Spring is in full swing in the Elementary Building! Teachers and students hosted dads or special guests for Doughnuts with Dad. Thanks to all who made this morning so much fun! 

 

Experiential Days were a blast for us too. Students created terrariums, dioramas, iMovies, gooey science experiments, and more! Students were able to choose activities that were of interest to them. They spent three mornings delving into their selections with these intense, hands-on learning days. Afternoons were spent with a visit from Hawk Quest and a painting class with our very own Ms. Prezkuta. 

 

Our amazing Literacy Team, along with Arts and Media, led a SMASH, BOOM, BANG Graphic Novel Day. Students learned more about onomatopoeia (words that are sounds), which are found in a lot of graphic novels. They also investigated the difference between comics and graphics novels. They even had the chance to create their own comics online! 

 

Classes have been taking advantage of the beautiful Colorado weather and working outside at the pond. This outdoor learning space provides endless opportunities for writing, science and team building. We are so fortunate to have this space!
