Denver Academy Hosts Annual Gala Benefiting Tuition Assistance Program

DENVER (March 17, 2025) -- Denver Academy (DA) will hold its annual fundraising gala, Masterpiece in Bloom, on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The event celebrating creativity, community, and compassion will take place at the Denver Art Museum located at 100 W. 14th Ave. Parkway in Denver. Advanced registration is required. Denver Academy is an independent school serving students in grades 2-12 with varied learning profiles. Net proceeds from the gala benefit the Denver Academy Tuition Assistance Program, which supports nearly 30 percent of DA’s students.
“Thanks to our generous donors, we provided need-based tuition assistance for 127 students to attend Denver Academy over the last school year,” said Director of Development Michael McNeill. “DA’s annual gala is an integral fundraiser for this program making it possible for more students who would benefit from an individualized and transformative education to have the opportunity to attend DA.”

The benefit will be held in the Denver Art Museum’s stunning Sturm Grand Pavilion on the second level of the Sie Welcome Center in the Martin Building. Enclosed in a fluted glass facade, the Sturm Grand Pavilion offers guests sweeping views of downtown and nearby architectural gems.

Denver Academy’s Masterpiece in Bloom gala begins at 6 p.m. Guests will enjoy a hosted bar and chef-curated food stations featuring seasonal culinary delights. The interactive program for the evening includes a giant color-by-numbers mural for attendees to contribute to a collaborative masterpiece, and a bouquet-making station, where guests can craft their own floral arrangement to take home. In addition, there will be a special presentation by DA alumni and a live auction with a fantastic slate of items.

A highlight of the evening will be a professional artist from Grow Love who will complete a one-of-a-kind 36” x 48” canvas painting during the event. The painting will go to the highest bidder during the live auction. Other live auction bidding opportunities include experiences such as VIP tickets to Hugh Jackman, Live From New York With Love; VIP tickets to Jazz Aspen Snowmass; a one-of-a-kind trip to a castle or villa at La Napoule Art Foundation, five miles west of Cannes, France; and more!

The 2025 Gala includes an online silent auction opening at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 21, and closing Sunday, April 27 at 12 p.m. It features various items to bid on from restaurant gift cards to services, gift baskets, and more. The online auction is open for bidding, regardless of whether bidders attend the event on April 26, however, registration is required. Those purchasing tickets to the Masterpiece in Bloom event will automatically be registered for the online auction.

As part of this year’s gala event, special donations are available to Send Your Teacher Packing! For just $5, donors can nominate their favorite Denver Academy teacher(s) to win a special trip. Find out more and purchase nominations here.
