On Saturday, April 26, the DA community came together in festive botanical dress at the Denver Art Museum and raised more than $350,000 to support tuition assistance at DA. This went beyond our goals for the Masterpiece in Bloom Gala and was one of our best fundraising events to date! Though we worked on some masterpieces together (making bouquets, painting by number, and watching an artist’s creation happen before our eyes), the true work of art is our community’s collaborative effort to support our school.
The moving words of DA alumni Zoe Petrie (Class of 2022) and Kris Kerr (Class of 2020) reminded us not only of our mission to inspire and empower diverse learners through student-centered, differentiated, and transformative education, but also of how our mission works.
We fundraised, we “friendraised,” and we raised glasses to help provide access to a school that allows kids to learn as they learn best. Whether you were able to share the excitement with us at the event or supported us from home, please know that each day we are working tirelessly to put your donations to great use.
Stay tuned for more information about next year’s Gala, currently scheduled for April 18, 2026.
