DA’s Louise McCabe Performing Arts Center Opens This Month

Our new Louise McCabe Performing Arts Center officially opens later this month. On Oct. 2, DA parents were able to get a sneak peek inside, complete with small guided tours. DA will host a celebration for the conclusion of our 50th Anniversary Building on Excellence (BOE) capital campaign alongside an official grand opening on Wednesday, Oct. 25.  Donors to the BOE Campaign were notified of this special, invitation-only event.

The Louise McCabe Performing Arts Center has a grand theater with comfortable seating in both the orchestra and mezzanine sections providing a total seating capacity of 250 guests. It also has a black box theater/classroom for intimate performances and classes, a choral classroom, an instrumental classroom, a set design shop, and state-of-the-art AV and audio technology.

The center will shine a light on DA students' talents and passions. We continue to welcome donations to enhance the audio, visual, lighting, stage, and stagecraft extras that will make such a difference for our students — and the audience.
