  • Athletic Director Assistant: 25-26

    Denver Academy in Denver, Colorado seeks a part-time Athletic Director Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year.
     
    Type:
    Part-Time, Hourly (5-6 hours a day when students are in session, no more than 25 hours per week)
    Requirements:
    Successful candidates will be energetic, organized, flexible and interested in the field of education. Ideal candidates will also have or be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Human Performance/Sport or Health Education.
     
    Position Description:
    The role of the Denver Academy Athletic Director Assistant is to support and assist with:

    • Supporting both the High School and Lower School Athletic Directors
      • Organization and scheduling.
      • Assisting with coaching, as needed.
      • Substitute teaching, as necessary.
    • Helping to coordinate special events and games.
    • Performing clerical tasks: strong computer skills are preferred.

    Denver Academy in Denver, CO seeks a part-time Performing Arts and Arts & Media Teacher's Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year.

    Part-Time, Hourly (5-6 hours per day when students are in session, 29 hours maximum per week)

    Requirements:
    Successful candidates will be energetic, organized, flexible, and interested in the field of visual arts. Ideal candidates will also have or be working towards a bachelor’s degree.

    Position Description:
    The role of the Denver Academy Performing Arts and Arts & Media Teacher’s Assistant is to support and assist the DA Arts & Media teachers with the organization and structure of the studio, theatre, music, and computer lab environments. The TA reports directly to the Dean of Arts & Media and works with other TA’s, teachers, literacy specialists, Heads/Coordinators, Deans, Program Team, and staff. The TA must be self-motivated and have a collaborative/team approach toward working.
     
    TA Daily Responsibilities may include:
    • Check-in with the teacher(s) to prepare for the day.
    • General studio/lab maintenance; cleaning, organizing, materials inventory, etc.
    • Equipment set-up and break-down.
    • Assist with classroom management.
    • Liaison with other TA’s, teachers, and staff.
    • Substitute as needed.
     
    TA Weekly/Quarterly Responsibilities may include:
    • Create and maintain studio and lab systems/bulletin boards.
    • Assist and support theatre teachers as needed with set construction and design.
    • Substitute for actors and techies as needed.
    • Grade report proofing.
    • Track and maintain files.
    • Assist on field trips as needed.
     
    General Notes
    • Be prepared to handle a variety of tasks.
    • Be self-motivated and take initiative with daily tasks
    • Flexibility and open communication are essential.
    • Attend in-house, programmatic training sessions as necessary.
    • Create and nurture positive relationships with students.
    • For any conflicts/issues, communicate with your direct supervisor. If the problem does not resolve, meet with the appropriate Dean.
