When Jason Siegel arrived at Denver Academy for his junior and senior years, he carried with him a belief that many students know all too well: that he simply wasn't smart. Traditional classrooms had convinced him that learning wasn't for him. Denver Academy changed that. By helping him discover how he learned best, DA gave him the confidence to see challenges differently and recognize that success wasn't about fitting into one mold. It was about finding an approach that matched the way his mind worked.

Today, Jason has built an internationally recognized career as a photographer, filmmaker, and creative director. Over the past twelve years, his work has taken him to more than 50 countries across all seven continents, earned the support of legendary camera manufacturer Leica, and been recognized by National Geographic. What began as a passion for photography has grown into a career directing, producing, and telling stories for brands and organizations around the world, all while staying true to his own creative vision. Ask Jason what he remembers most about Denver Academy, though, and he'll probably tell you about the teachers. Their eccentric personalities, humor, and willingness to connect with students made them feel more like mentors than authority figures. They created an environment where Jason felt safe being himself, asking questions, and learning without fear of failure. Today, he's excited to give back to that same community by mentoring students, speaking on campus, and connecting with fellow alumni who share the DA experience.
