Faculty members of Denver Academy’s JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) group attended the Colorado Diversity Network (CDN) Fall Workshop. Katie Bradford, DA’s dean of Arts & Media, is on the executive leadership team for CDN. The workshop, titled Teaching Justice and Fairness in the Classroom, was held at Kent Denver School on Oct. 27. Keynote speaker Britt Hawthorne delivered a powerful workshop, and participants were able to gain insight regarding how to best support learners in developing their understanding of community, identity, fairness, and justice.
