Homecoming Week 2022
This year, Homecoming Week will be held Monday, Oct. 10 through Saturday, Oct. 15. Parent volunteers are needed for a number of events. (See below.) Questions? Contact Kacie Wulf.
Monday, Oct. 10: Hawaiian Shirt Day; High School Pep Rally at 2 p.m., Kona Ice Truck from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. (All Divisions)
Tuesday, Oct. 11: Decade Day!
Elementary/6th Grade: ’50s clothing
Middle School: ’60s clothing
9th grade: ’70s clothing
10th grade: ’80s clothing
11th grade: ’90s clothing
12th grade: tie dye senior shirts
Senior Car Parade from 1-1:30 p.m.; Boys High School Soccer home game at 4 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 12: Scholars & Ballers (famous scholars and/or athletes). Volleyball Team vs. Teachers game from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. for all DA students
Thursday, Oct. 13: Disney/Pixar Day; DAPA’s Homecoming Tailgate for high school students, staff, and families, 3:15-5:30 p.m. (High school parents attending the Tailgate should RSVP here); Boys high school soccer home game at 4 p.m.; Girls JV volleyball home game at 5:30 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 14: DA Spirit Day; Bagels & Coffee (high school only) at 8:30 a.m.; Bed Races
Saturday, Oct. 15: High School Homecoming Dance, 7-10 p.m. at DA’s James E. Loan Athletic Center. Tickets will be sold during lunch for $15 (high school students only).Help decorate for the Homecoming Dance
All DA parents (not just high school parents) are encouraged to help decorate for this year’s DA Homecoming Dance. The dance, which is exclusive to high school students, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15. Decorating will be on Friday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 15. No experience or materials needed. High School Parent Volunteers Needed Oct. 13 and Oct. 14
DAPA (Denver Academy Parent Association) hosts a number of events during Homecoming Week. DAPA’s Mustang Connection Parent Group is looking for volunteers for the High School Homecoming Tailgate on Thursday, Oct. 13, prior to the girls volleyball game at 5:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help set up, serve, and clean up from 3:15-5:30 p.m. Food donations are also needed. The Mustang Connection also is hosting Homecoming Coffee and Bagels on Friday, Oct. 14 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Click here to sign up to help with set up, serving, clean up, or food donations.
