In October, DA 10th graders rolled up their sleeves and joined Denver Parks and Recreation for a day of community service and "Putting the Beds to Bed" at Wash Park. They pulled up dead plants from the flower beds, turned over the soil, and assisted with mulching. Students are shown at DA just before leaving for the park — while they were still clean — and also while working at the park.
