Mission Matters: Stefaniak Family

When the Stefaniak family was searching for the best school for their son, Andrew, they were well educated on local independent schools. Their older daughters & Andrew attended a local Independent school, but it was clear that Andrew needed something different. He needed a community that embraced his unique learning profile and taught him the way he learned best.
Andrew came to Denver Academy as a 3rd grader and graduated in 2018. He shared his acting and singing talents in many theater productions, played on the Varsity Golf Team, and served as an ambassador for the Admissions Office.

Tom served on the DA Board of Trustees for 6 years and is on the Building on Excellence Campaign Cabinet. Sheryl started her first term on the board this year. The Stefaniak family came to DA to find the best educational fit for their son and found a community that became family.
They are also big supporters of the new Performing Arts Center.

Sheryl said, “DA took away the nightly fight over homework at our house so our relationship with our son greatly improved. I don’t think Andrew would have graduated from high school without DA, and now he is a Sophomore at the University of Arizona. We want to give back to DA for all of the help that the DA community has given us.”
