High School Students Attend "Ghosted" and Corresponding Talkbacks
High School students attended a performance of the play “Ghosted” and participated in corresponding talkbacks at DA on November 6 (Grades 9 and 10) and November 7 (Grades 11 and 12). “Ghosted” was presented by Kaiser Permanente Colorado’s Arts Integrated Resource team, the theatrical production and corresponding workshop were created to raise awareness among high school students around suicide, anxiety, depression, and how to build social-emotional resiliency.
“Ghosted” is an hour-long interactive play that follows four high school students through a typical school day with actors showcasing complex emotions through their interactions with each other. After the play, there was a short larger group discussion followed by smaller discussions in individual classrooms, all facilitated by the actors in partnership with DA teachers, and counselors.
