On February 2, Denver Academy was honored to enjoy a visit from Michael Dukakis, a former governor of Massachusetts and the 1988 Democratic Party nominee for president. Many thanks to Mr. Dukakis’ granddaughter, DA student Jobie H. '19, and her family for helping facilitate the visit.

The former governor talked with DA high school students about the importance of public service and how he hopes that our youth will get involved and help make a difference in the lives of their fellow citizens. Mr. Dukakis also shared his path to success in politics and answered questions from the audience about current events and our government today. It was an amazing opportunity for DA students to have an interactive discussion with the former governor. Thank you for the inspiring visit, Mr. Dukakis!
