Orton-Gillingham Tutoring

This multi-sensory phonics-based program is designed for students who have difficulties with reading, spelling, and writing most commonly associated with dyslexia. Experienced Denver Academy trained instructors will provide one-on-one tutoring utilizing the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading. Tutoring includes: 

• Direct, systematic and sequential instruction of the Orton-Gillingham approach, individualized for the student
• All teachers 40 + hours trained
• Spelling and reading review of sounds and words; spelling and reading new concepts and applying these skills in reading a book or passage

As part of the tutoring hour, we will conduct a pre-assessment of current achievement levels to determine the proper starting point of lessons. Current educational testing can be substituted for the pre-assessment.
