About Us

Denver Academy is one of the leading schools for students with learning differences in the United States. We strive to provide an environment for our students that fosters their intellectual, social, creative, physical and ethical potentials. Our unique program model—one that has been implemented across schools in the U.S. and Canada—serves each student’s individual learning profile.

The school's curriculum is designed to meet the needs of children with learning differences (ADD, dyslexia) or other issues that lead to underachievement. In the Elementary School, we offer a structured and nurturing environment with a tailored approach to help each child build a foundation of basic skills and academic success. Creativity and engagement are included in each lesson plan. The Middle School offers a safe environment to help ensure both academic and social success. Our approach looks at the whole child, with a customized approach to traditional curriculum as well as a focus on the arts. Our High School program is designed to address the educational profile of each student to help them reach their academic potential. We offer several levels within each subject to allow students to excel in their areas of strength while addressing their areas of need. More than 90 percent of our graduates pursue post-secondary education.

Never before have I experienced educators so willing to go so far out of their way to positively impact the lives of my children in creative, flexible, effective and meaningful ways. -- DA Parent
