Building on Excellence Campaign

As we approach Denver Academy’s 50th Anniversary in 2022, we have embarked on one of the most impactful projects in the history of our school. 

After years of planning and research, Denver Academy’s Board of Directors approved a two-phased construction project as well as a focused effort to grow our endowment fund.

  • Phase One

    Elementary/6th Grade Building Renovation Featuring:
    • Flexible learning spaces 
    • Right-sized classrooms
    Construction of a New Athletic Center to:
    • Support and expand athletic opportunities and team sports
    • Provide a community gathering space
    Grow DA’s Endowment Fund to Ensure:
    • Competitive faculty compensation
    • Funding for need-based tuition assistance
    • Ongoing programmatic support
  • Phase Two

    Phase Two includes a new Performing Arts Center to shine a light on our students’ talents and passions. The anticipated cost of Phase One and Phase Two is $25M. Phase Two construction will begin as soon as sufficient funds are raised.
    With the generous support of our Board of Directors, faculty and staff, and major donors, we are thrilled to share that as of the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, we have raised over $17,200,000 for this campaign.

Penny Project

As part of the Building on Excellence campaign, we have launched the student-based Penny Project for the 2018-19 School Year. This project focuses on the concepts of what one million looks like and on teaching students about philanthropy and community. Find out more on the Student Penny Project web page via the link below.
