Robert Carmichael, Attended DA 1993-97: Regional Manager for Microsoft TEALS Program

Robert Carmichael graduated from his neighborhood high school in 2001 but credits his time at DA at the Race Street Campus with creating his path to success. While his dyslexia was a challenge throughout his school career, he realized he had a gift for math. In 2006, he graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Following graduation, he taught high school math and coached soccer for 12 years before changing careers. Since 2019, Robert has worked for the Microsoft TEALS Program as a regional manager, helping high schools build computer science programs by partnering educators with industry professionals.

Robert and his wife currently live in Texas; they have four children.

What impact did Denver Academy have on your life?
“When I entered Denver Academy, I didn’t think I was good at any subject. I left knowing I was good at math which helped me get to where I am today.”
