DA Elementary Students Honor Ruby Bridges

November 17, 2021, was Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day. As part of this nationwide movement honoring civil rights activist Ruby Bridges — and because Denver Academy families come from many parts of the metro area — our elementary students instead walked around our school campus. The walk represented Ruby’s courage and bravery and the inclusive community she represents. Leading up to the walk, students made posters and wearable buttons, creatively expressing their support for inclusivity.

At the conclusion of the walk, our own Head of School Mark Twarogowski proclaimed the day Walk for Ruby Day at Denver Academy!
