Jake Gabel, '13: Teacher

Jake Gabel, DA graduating class of 2013, received his Texas Classroom Teaching Certificate in English, language, and reading for grades 7-12 and he also specializes in Holocaust studies. Jake is currently a substitute teacher in Denton, TX. "My job is incredibly rewarding and allows me to make a difference in the world," said Jake.

He feels that Denver Academy helped him get ahold of and be able to manage his ADHD and that he also learned leadership and life skills. "I am able to manage my time, as well as excel in essay writing," says Gabel. "All of the teachers I had at Denver Academy made a difference in my learning through their differentiated teaching styles."
