Reminder: Weather-related Closures and Delays

With winter in full swing, we wanted to remind you of DA's policies involving weather-related closures and delays. As stated in the Parent-Student Handbook, we typically follow Denver Public Schools’ protocol for closures and delays, but make a judgement based on information available at the time, including closures of other metro area school districts. Parents will be notified by phone and delays/closures will also be posted on the DA website and social media outlets, along with metro-area TV stations. We believe that parents know what is best for their children, so we leave the decision of your child’s safety to you. During inclement weather, students will not be counted as absent or tardy due to weather with parent permission which should be provided by calling the main office at 303-777-5870 or by emailing attendance@denveracademy.org. Thank you!
