Winners Chosen in 2nd Annual DA Juried Art Show

Last night, DA hosted the 2nd Annual Juried Art Show in the Arts & Media Building on campus. Artwork that had been submitted by students in grades 7-12 was on display and guests were even given the opportunity to vote on their favorite piece! After deliberation, winners have been chosen in seven different categories, plus winners for “Best in Show” and “Viewer’s Choice.”
 
Best in Show: Trystin Miller, 10th grade, for his charcoal drawing, "Lost."
Viewer's Choice: Nina Breen, 12th grade, for her graphite drawings, "Winnie and Quinn."
Best of Ceramics: Hannah Webb, 10th grade, for her piece, "The Brown Tree"
Best of Mixed Media: Jenn Naar, 10th grade, for her art journal, "Freshman."
Best of Digital Art: Nate Goodman, 9th grade, for his photograph, "More Than an Iron Horse."
Best of Drawing: Jake Nicholas, 12th grade, for his charcoal drawing, "Flowery Boi."
Best of Fiber Art: Jenn Naar, 10th grade, for her up-cycled men's shirt, "Dress Shirt Set."
Best of Metal Art: Toben Douglas-May, 12th grade, for his piece, "Rattlesnake Jake."
Best of Painting: Quinn Moon, 7th grade, for his painting, "Hap..."
 
Thank you to all who came out to support our artists and their hard work from the last school year. Art pieces will be up in the Arts & Media Building until next Tuesday, May 28, so swing by to check out the exhibit!
