NHS Students Serve at Knippenberg Dinner

Denver Academy National Honor Society (NHS) members participated in a long-standing holiday tradition earlier this week.

Craig Knippenberg, a counselor and longtime friend of DA, hosts a holiday celebration for 50+ homeless people in the Denver metro area each year. Mr. Knippenberg picks up his guests and cooks them Christmas dinner. To help with this lovely tradition, DA’s High School NHS students help serve food to the guests, sing carols, and clean up after dinner. They also provide gift bags with necessities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, and warm clothing for the dinner guests.

This annual dinner captures the spirit of the season, and our NHS students are always thrilled to be a part of it. Happy holidays!
