Student Lead Ambassadors Selected for 2018-19 School Year

The four students who will head the Denver Academy Ambassador program have been chosen for the 2018-19 school year. Congratulations to seniors Brian Hummer ’19, Zach Petrie ’19, Alex White ’19, and Cassidy Wilson ’19 on this honor.

Throughout the school year, these students, selected by Director of Admissions Janet Woolley, will help with meetings, activities, and preparing for open houses on campus. Additionally, they will help create criteria for the selection of new ambassadors this year and will assist with training new ambassadors as well as retraining returning ambassadors.

“I am most excited about being a lead ambassador because I have been trusted to represent DA as one of the first faces you see,” says Petrie. “I’m ready to help lead our student body and talk to people about our school.”

Wilson echoes his sentiments, explaining, “I feel like being an Ambassador gives me a good opportunity to articulate what this school does for me, and how it can help others.”

While these four have been chosen as Lead Ambassadors, there are ambassadors of all ages at Denver Academy from elementary to high school. These students are tasked with representing the school in a positive way both on and off campus, and host students who are visiting, giving them and their families information about DA in addition to sharing their own personal stories and experiences.

This program allows prospective families to see the impact that DA can make on its students firsthand. We look forward to seeing how our many Ambassadors, led by the four senior Lead Ambassadors, represent our school this year.
