Cross Country Starts Strong in First Meet of the Season

DA's Varsity Cross Country team started out strong as they participated in their first race of the season last Thursday, August 30 at Washington Park. 

With two freshman Evelyn Murphy '22 and Theo Marcil '22, competing in their first race and two time improvements on the boys' team, it was a successful meet for the Mustangs. Based on mile split times from last year's race, Cortez Campos '21 had a 10-second improvement and Joe Wogsland '20 had a 2 minute and 18 second improvement. Overall, the boys' Cross Country team was the top 2A school to place among other divisions during the meet.

The next meet will be held tomorrow, September 8, in Lyons. Good luck Mustangs!
