DA competes in first Knowledge Bowl

On Saturday, February 3, Denver Academy participated in its first Knowledge Bowl competition. During the regional competition, DA students placed 6th out of 12 teams, beating several of our rival schools. An all-day event, sophomore, junior and senior students shared their extensive knowledge on the topics of history, science, math, English, and grammar.

Cassidy Wilson, Jack Straus, Jamie Anderson, Jake Nicholas, and Jack Christie wowed the judges with their extensive knowledge and confidence. The team returned tired and curious after a 60-question written test and four rounds of oral questions (60 questions each), for a total of 300 questions!

"This was a great first year for the Knowledge Bowl team," DA Knowledge Bowl Coach Bradie Zalatel said. "DA looks forward to developing this program further in years to come. "
