Please join us for an informative & interactive workshop in honor of Denver Academy's recognition as the 2017 recipient of NCLD's Rozelle Founders Award. This workshop for parents will be led by Dr. Sheldon Horowitz and will focus on resources and information to help parents guide their children to greater self-confidence and independence. The presentation will include information about NCLD's flagship program, Understood.org, and online resources for parents offering personalized support, daily access to experts and specially designed tools.

Program Visitation Days provide an overview of the curriculum and framework of Denver Academy. The two-hour visit includes classroom visits and a campus tour, along with an informational session led by the Denver Academy Program Team. This tour is designed for professionals, community members, and educational partners. Prospective parents/families interested in learning more about Denver Academy are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office and attend an Open House.
Required for juniors. Parent attendance is highly encouraged. Join us as we officially kickoff the college and transition counseling process for our junior students and their families. We'll provide a thorough overview of what to expect for the next year; as well as cover college application timelines, standardized testing, the accommodations process, post-secondary options and much more.

Back by Popular Demand: The Secret Life of the Teenage Brain
Please join us for an evening with Headmaster Mark Twarogowski as he explores the expansive topic of the teenage brain. Recent studies have demonstrated what many parents and teachers already know - the teenage years are a time of dramatic ups and downs characterized by mood swings, impulsive behaviors, and poor judgment. Join Mr. Twarogowski as he translates the latest brain research into real-life understanding of what makes our teenagers so "darn interesting." Mr. Twarogowski covers this topic with the senior students each year, so don't miss your opportunity to learn all about it yourself!
