Contest Entries Due January 15

It's not too late to participate in DAPA's creative contest, themed around Rocky, the owl who traveled to New York City in the Rockefeller Center holiday tree. Students are encouraged to choose any medium (writing, fine arts, singing, acting, technology, etc.) and explore Rocky's journey in a fictional or factual manner. Some idea kickstarters: What did it feel like to be an owl in New York City? What adventures might Rocky have had in the city? What happened when Rocky returned to the wilderness?

The contest is open to all divisions with prizes for Elementary, 6th Grade, Middle School, and High School. Prizes will include an assortment of owl-themed items, family packs of tickets to the Denver Zoo, and family packs of Rockies tickets. Entries are due to Jolene Gutiérrez by Friday, January 15. Questions? Email Mrs. Gutiérrez at jgutierrez@denveracademy.org.
