Denver Academy will celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2022. As we plan for the next 50 years for our school we give tremendous gratitude to our supporters. Today, we give a special thank you to the Lester and Martin family for their ongoing support in shaping our future. Read on to hear why giving back to Denver Academy is so important to their family.
Education has been a founding principle in the Martin and Lester family’s values for generations, and its continued importance is evident in their support for Denver Academy.
“When DA was introduced to us I thought it would be a perfect fit for our daughter, Taylor, and it was,” Mary explains. “Taylor needed a safe environment where her education was catered to her needs. She has flourished in this environment and it has allowed her to start to advocate for herself, and given her confidence and comfort.”
Being involved with DA, and particularly being on the Board, has been important for Mary. It allows her to participate in her daughter’s educational experience at one of the top schools in the nation diverse learners, including students with learning differences. In addition to being on the Board, Mary Lester, her husband Kent, and parents Lanny and Sharon Martin are big supporters of Denver Academy’s 50th Anniversary Building on Excellence Campaign.
“We gladly participate in giving to Denver Academy because of its importance for the school going forward,” she says. “We want to help give the current and future students of DA a cutting-edge facility where students and faculty will continue to thrive and build the programs that the school needs.”
