Mission and Philosophy
Denver Academy leads as a center of excellence for the education of students with learning differences. We help our students develop their intellectual, social, creative, physical and ethical potentials within a nurturing environment so they may acquire the skills and confidence to be successful in life.
The transformative power of education
Denver Academy believes students deserve to be taught in the way that best suits their learning style. They can thrive, grow and be infinitely successful when their way of learning is honored and they are taught in an engaging manner. Founded in 1972, Denver Academy is one of the top schools in the nation dedicated to teaching students with learning differences. We are frequently called upon to teach our educational model to other academic institutions and we are completely and passionately committed to finding out how each of our students learns best.
Our students leave here prepared for a lifetime of success. After enrollment, our students show a significant improvement in their grades, self-confidence and study habits. They flourish within the structured, closely supervised and highly personal environment of Denver Academy. More than 90 percent of our graduates matriculate to college and post-secondary education each year. As important, each student develops an understanding of his or her own strengths and learning styles, resulting in lifelong self-advocacy skills.
