The Denver Academy Library serves all of our first through twelfth-grade students and over 120 faculty and staff by providing access to appropriate print, non-print and electronic materials. Materials offered include nonfiction materials, class novels and other fiction materials, books on audiocassette and CD, videos, DVDs and magazines.
Databases offering magazine and journal articles are also available to library patrons, as is the Internet and access to other local libraries' catalogs. Instruction on the utilization of all library resources is offered to students individually or within groups. Students also have access to magazines, periodicals, and computers as well as our online library catalogue.
What's more, the Library, previously a chapel, was designated as a historic landmark (landmark number 298) by the City and County of Denver Landmark Preservation Commission in 2000. According to the Landmark Ordinance, "both the 1926 Chapel and the 1930's Gateway structures are of Dutch origin with traditional stair-stepped architecture and red tile roofs as seen in Amsterdam, Holland."
For more information and library services and the chapel, please visit our librarian's (Ms. Gutierrez) google site.
